Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday!

Well, I have been pretty busy over here getting my website ready for Thursday when we go to the 1 in 1 out policy for customs! I am putting strap color choices directly on my site so no more having to dig through my vendors website! Of course if there is a color that someone is looking for specifically that I didn’t put on my site I can still order it

The clearance section will be coming down Thursday morning and everything that is on sale will be returning to regular price.

We may very very soon start selling some embellished pre-folds and diaper covers (I’m busting the serger out!!) so keep an eye out for those!!

Last week sucked but I am holding out hope for this new week!

So I have been making Christmas presents for my girls and I have been doing alot of thinking. The post on TBW just re-confirms what I already know that lots of Mama’s on TBW still hold ill feelings against me for the mistakes I made this past year. I want to start fresh in this new year. I plan on sticking around and I am determind to regain every last ounce of trust out there. As I was making a felt cupcake I was thinking of how in the world I could regain your trust. And then it came to me. One stitch at a time, just like I was doing with the cupcake (sewing by hand LOL). I know this may sound corney but really that is how it came to me.

So I decided that starting in the new year I am going to go with a 1 in 1 out system for customs. If I am blessed enough to start a wait list then that is what I will do. I plan on turning things around and hope that I can build that trust back up again for good!

Other changes will also take place. Starting early in 2009 (not setting a date yet) I will most likely stop selling retail internationally. We currently have 3 international vendors but would still love to a few more! Mainly in Canada and Austrailia.

Our end of the year sale is just that. It will end at the end of the year. Whatever fabric I have left over from the clearance sale will be sold as remnants or I will just keep them and make something out of them for my kids. The in-stock sale will also end and they will be regular priced according to the fabrics used in them. As will all future in-stock Himmel’s. They will be priced according to the fabrics used to make them.  I would like to keep up a $100 Himmel section but this is not a guarentee. I also like the idea of having a Custom Himmel base price and then have the option for customers to add silk, additional print, applique ect

Hello everyone! What a crazy year this has been!! I am glad we will be begining a new year soon! I am looking so forward to meeting our new little girl in April! I can’t wait to wear her! I am already planning my stash LOL!!

Ok so I need to update on what the heck is going on around here with Himmel Carriers! Wholesale is not going as well as I planned. This economy is killing me! I have decided to open back up permentently. I will still be selling wholesale for those who are interested however I will be remaining open. Right now I have listed all of my instock fabric on Clearance to be made into Himmel’s  to clear out and stock up for the new year! www.himmelcarriers.com I am running a nice sale on in-stock Himmel’s and have  a great deal going on through the end of the year on custom Himmel’s. Starting in the new year I will be going back to full price on everything except clearance. We are now offering Baby, Standard, and Toddler size on all custom Himmel’s!

Right now there is no wait at the sewing house! I am giving a turnaround time of 5-6 weeks currently but I anticipate that being much less.  All Himmel’s will now have snaps on the hood straps! You can see in the above picture that they connect on the shoulder strap attached to our regular hood tie holder. I don’t feel it is a good idea from a safety standpoint to snap through the actual strap Your child’s safety is my number one concern!! Our shoulder strap padding is now slightly thinner (but not too much) and slightly shorter so there is no more tying into the padding on a lexi twist!!

You may also notice the T-shirt dresses and Applique option on my site! I have been making the girls their Christmas presents this year and I have found that I really enjoy making things other than mei tai’s LOL!! Right now I am working on my own patterns for doll diapers and a doll diaper bag!! So you may just start seeing Himmel Carriers expand in the next year! I am thinking about selling some products for Mom and Baby (not made by me) in addition to our carriers and my handmade items. However that will largely depend on the new CPSIA legislation I will keep you all posted!!
